MISSION - Institutional Research and
Effectiveness
The Office of Institutional Research and
Effectiveness manages and directs institutional research activities, oversees
and coordinates institutional assessment and compliance procedures; and
designs and maintains information communication technology tools for use by
faculty and staff in pursuit of their effort to improve the delivery of
educational programs, educational support services and administrative support
services.
Institutional Research and
Effectiveness is an Office of
Academic Affairs
serving the Mission of the University
of South Carolina Sumter in the following ways:
Gathering, evaluating, archiving, and
reporting all institutional data
for external agencies, including
governmental and non-governmental accrediting agencies
Gathering, evaluating, archiving, and
reporting all institutional data
for internal
needs, including internal research projects, and long-term planning and
forecasting
Serving as liaison with the South Carolina Commission on Higher
Education,
the Southern
Commission of Colleges and Schools
and other external accrediting agencies
Serving as the campus resource for
assessment activities and legislative interpretation
Conducting web site development, training
and management to integrate, and streamline,
faculty and staff needs with
information communication technologies
